The First Aid School was founded in order to give people confidence when faced with an emergency situation. Our courses are delivered by operational paramedics, the experts in pre-hospital care. We incorporate our experiences, triumphs and mistakes to give you a learning experience like no other. Gone are the days of mind-numbing slide show presentations, The First Aid School delivers simulation-based training to provide you with a realistic learning environment. We provide a safe space for you to put your knowledge into practice. Students often reflect on how realistic the simulations feel and how they play a vital role in cementing the learning content. Plus, they’re a heap of fun! This approach enables you to build confidence, improve your decision-making skills, and truly understand the principles of first aid in an interactive and engaging way.
Meet Billy
Throughout his experience as a paramedic, Billy has encountered multiple occasions where first aid knowledge would have made a significant difference for his patients. The phrase ‘knowledge is power’ is especially true in emergency situations. As such, Billy launched The First Aid School to empower people and give them the autonomy to manage a loved one, colleague or member of the community who requires medical assistance. During his studies, Billy travelled to South Africa on two separate occasions to work alongside local ambulance services and emergency departments. These experiences allowed him to gain a unique perspective on healthcare and the lessons he gained have been put into practice to enhance his teaching capabilities.

Curious about our logo?
Almost 2500 years ago; Hippocrates, who is known as the father of modern medicine, would sit under a tree as he taught his students. Hippocrates’ Tree still stands famously today on the Greek island of Kos. Our name ‘The First Aid School’ sits underneath the tree to symbolise the importance of his work, which we incorporate into practice to this day.
