Nationally-accredited first aid training (HLTAID011) tailored to healthcare professionals from dentists, nurses, physiotherapists, and pharmacists. Our first aid training courses for healthcare can be claimed as Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours.
Onsite First Aid Training for Medical/Allied Health
The First Aid School (RTO 90909) delivers certified first aid training for medical and allied health professionals in Sydney. We regularly work with nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists, dentists, and allied health professionals in different healthcare settings. Learn or refresh your first aid certification for managing medical emergencies such as injuries, shock, cardiac arrest, and breathing difficulties to provide greater assurance and safety for patients.
We have a team of NSW paramedics who conduct first aid training onsite at clinics and offices with all necessary training equipment. Participants simply need to show up and attend the course. We tailor our training to target the blind spots — ensuring that teams are provided with the latest knowledge and practical skills to apply first aid and perform CPR in-clinic or in the community.

Meet CPD Requirements with First Aid Training

Under AHPRA and the registration standards of each health profession’s National Board, medical and allied health professionals must meet a set number of hours of Continuing Professional Development to maintain a high level of service. CPD requirements apply to professions including dentists, chiropractors, nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, pharmacists, and occupational therapists.
Accredited first aid training courses can be claimed as CPD hours. Completing the Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) course will award up to 8 CPD hours, while the Provide CPR (HLTAID009) course will award up to 3 CPD hours.

Frequently Asked Questions
How Long Does First Aid Training Take?
First aid training will take a full day, between 5-6 hours with our face-to-face delivery mode. To ensure that all participants can focus on the training, we recommend setting the day aside and minimising work activities.
Which Certificates Will Participants Recieve?
The following units will be included in your certificate:
- HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
- HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- HLTAID010 – Provide basic emergency life support
Is There a Maximum Group Size for Onsite Training?
We can deliver onsite first aid training for up to 25 participants in one session. For class sizes of 1 to 7 a flat rate applies.
Where are the First Aid Courses Held?
We can come to your home or workplace and bring all required equipment, including a projector and props for the simulations.
How Will Participants be Graded for the First Aid Course?
First aid training completion is based on competency — each participant will be tested on practical skills and knowledge to determine if they meet competency standards. Our trainers are committed to helping each participant until they meet the requirements to successfully complete the course and obtain a Certificate of Attainment.
Who Should Attend First Aid?
It’s imperative that every workplace ensures there’s at least one team member trained in CPR and first aid to swiftly respond to emergencies onsite. However, it’s not just a responsibility limited to a single individual; extending CPR training to more team members is essential. Whether you’re a parent, caregiver, student, or community member, expanding CPR training within your workplace equips more individuals with life-saving skills.
